Fire Pistons

Fire Piston by Rob Bicevskis

The firepiston shown on this page was made by Rob Bicevskis (Toronto, Ontario).

A small piece of tinder fungus is placed in the end of the piston. This ignites when the fire piston is operated. The dark spot at the end of the piston is a tiny receptacle which will hold a small piece of tinder fungus.

This photo shows the inside of the cylinder.
